April Fools Update: Fun and Free Surprises
The April Fools patch might not bring huge gameplay updates, but it’s packed with fun changes and a free skin! Here’s what you can expect:
Free Pengu Garen Skin 
- Pengu Garen is free for the duration of the patch!
- Special Hitbox Change: This skin introduces the first-ever hitbox change for a skin, making it a fun addition to the game.
- Limited-Time Use: Because of the hitbox change, it’s only available during this patch, so grab it while you can!
Party Drake
- Replaces Cloud Drake with a party-themed version of the dragon.
- Party Favor on kill: Grants gold and a skill point.
- Party Dragon Soul: Gives 30% movement speed, AD/AP scaling with move speed, and adds wind tunnels on the map like Cloud Drake but with a party vibe.
Visual Changes to the Rift 
- Expect visual updates like a Disco rubber ducky, minions with cat ears, and the Party Drake shaking up the map’s atmosphere!
LeBlanc Visual Overhaul 
LeBlanc, one of the oldest champions in League of Legends, is getting a much-needed visual update! While no significant balance changes are expected, her kit is likely to remain the same, with only minor tweaks (if any). Here’s what’s changing:
Updated Visuals and Animations 
- Every skin is getting an updated splash art and new VFX/animations, including popular skins like Mistletoe LeBlanc (see the before-and-after changes below).
- As with other visual updates, expect her older skins to make a return to the store so that new players can grab them if they missed out on the original release.
Balance Changes: Champion Updates 
This patch isn’t all fun and games—there are some balance changes to keep an eye on! Here are the key updates for champions:
Shen 
- Q: Twilight Assault
- Now applies bonus attack damage to turrets, but only for base damage, not the percentage of max health damage. It’s a small buff but still significant for Shen’s turret damage.
Yone 
- Passive: Way of the Hunter
- No longer deals reduced crit strike damage, bringing his critical damage potential back to full strength.
- E: Soul Unbound
- No longer cleanses CC when returning to your body.
- However, Yone remains unstoppable during the return phase, but any CC will continue after he returns to his body.
Yorick 
- Q: Last Rites
- Ghoul damage to monsters has been reduced: 100% >>> 75%. A small nerf for Yorick’s monster clear.
