Twitch streamer Kaitlyn ‘Amouranth’ Siragusa was set to make her boxing debut in 2023 but had to withdraw due to health concerns. Now, she’s back in training and has revealed her ideal first opponent: none other than Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys.
Amouranth’s Canceled Debut and Return to Boxing
Back in 2023, Amouranth was scheduled to fight Spanish streamer Maite ‘Mayichi’ Carrillo in Ibai Llanos’ La Velada del Año 3. However, she was forced to step down before the match due to “late-stage ovarian failure.” Now, she’s ready to step into the ring once again—but only against the right opponent.
Speaking on Dexerto’s new Clickbaited show, Amouranth expressed her enthusiasm for boxing, calling it a “cool opportunity” that offered a new arc for her content.
“It gives me kind of an arc to stream the boxing training and all that. I thought it would be kind of cool, and [Mayichi] didn’t look very intimidating either. So, I felt very confident,” she explained.
Amouranth Calls Out Pokimane
When asked if she’d still be interested in a fight, Amouranth was open to the idea but said it would depend on the opponent.
“Yes and no. It would depend who,” she said.
After some thought, she landed on a surprising name—Pokimane, one of Twitch’s top female streamers.
“Pokimane,” she revealed, though she wasn’t convinced the fellow streamer would accept. “I don’t think she will… We could pillow fight. Paid tickets only.”
While Pokimane has never boxed, she has expressed an interest in influencer boxing, having trained in Mizkif’s gym last year.
A Potential Match Against Austin McBroom?
Amouranth also shared an unexpected interaction with Social Gloves boxer Austin McBroom, who reached out to her asking if she had Snapchat.
“Such a weird thing to ask,” she laughed, before turning to her assistant off-screen. “She told me that he was divorced. I’m like, ‘oh right. Yeah, no.’ Maybe I’ll box him, though. Hot tub boxing, make it happen.”
While a fight between Amouranth and McBroom seems unlikely, the streamer has floated another idea—hiring a male boxer to fight on her behalf.
“I won’t fight a biological male, but I’m sure I could find a proxy who I will cover all expenses and training for who will,” she stated in late February.
What’s Next for Amouranth’s Boxing Ambitions?
So far, nothing has been officially set regarding Amouranth’s boxing future. However, given her star power, any event featuring her participation—whether as a fighter or through a proxy—would be a major spectacle.
